Interlochen Center for the Arts is a charitable non-profit relying on the generosity of donors to fund scholarships and once in a lifetime opportunities for students. You can be a part of that mission by asking others to give during Act for Art, and by thanking those who do give.

Your video may be shared with alumni, parents, and other friends of Interlochen! In roughly 1-2 minutes, please share a highlight of your time and Interlochen and express your gratitude:
- Your name, alumni year(s), arts area and if you wish, your professional role and/or organization.
- State briefly the impact your time at Interlochen had on you/your family. To help narrow it down, think about and tell a specific example or story you can share to illustrate your point.
- Share why you are grateful for the support of donors who give to Interlochen.
- You can keep it a simple recording of you, or get extra creative. Play an instrument, do a little dance, record with a friend and make it a slam poem. This is Interlochen, after all!

Video Content Tips:
Video Content Tips:
- Use natural language that feels authentically you.
- Ask viewers to join in during Act for Art and give. (For example: "Please make your gift today so that other kids will get to have the same experience I did!")
- Make sure to say in your own way: "Thank you so much for supporting Interlochen students!"
Recording Tips:
- When recording with a phone or tablet, use a selfie stick, tripod, or prop it up with something for stability. Try not to hold it.
- Keep your device close for good sound quality but far enough away that you are the focus. Try 3-4 feet.
- Consider shooting in a location your recipients may recognize. If you aren't in a location people recognize, do you have an Interlochen shirt or hat you can wear? Whatever you choose, it's best to be comfortable and natural.
- Choose a well-lit room with lights on or plenty of natural light.
- Record with the window facing you. If the window is behind you, you will appear shadowed and your face will be dark.
- Choose a flattering angle for your recording with the camera level or slightly above your face. Shooting from below is not usually a person’s best angle.
- Avoid rooms that will echo, like sparse offices or classrooms, stairwells, or conference rooms with glass walls.
